SOUTH ALABAMA
CAGE BIRD SOCIETY

              Welcome to
The South Alabama Cage                           Bird Society

FOUNDED IN 1979

The SOUTH ALABAMA CAGE BIRD SOCIETY was founded in 1979. We are one of the oldest avian organizations in the South. Our organization does several events each year in order to promote education about our  feathered friends. Our biggest event of the year is our annual bird fair. This year will be our 45th anniversary  promoting parrots. We are very proud of our organization, as the proceeds from this fair go toward avian research with Dr Tom Tully at LSU in Baton Rouge, La. Our other events are Earth Day in Fairhope, Al. We are very proud of our members that try to educate the public each year. Our bird fair will be held JULY 27 & 28, 2024 at the ABBA TEMPLE SHRINE AUDITORIUM in Mobile, Alabama on Hitt Road. Come join us!

Looking for our annual bird fair?

The South Alabama Cage Bird Society's annual bird fair converted to the Gulf Coast Exotic Animal Expo in 2017. Our new expo still includes all our feathered friends and their needs, but now is expanded to include all varieties of exotic animals. Ranging anywhere from mammals to reptiles and of course birds, the Gulf Coast Exotic Animal Expo is the perfect family-friendly event to get hands-on with many new and unique animals.

Parking is free and admission is only $5 (children under the age of 12 enter for free)! Tickets sold at the door.

Visit us online at www.gcexoticanimalexpo.com to find out more.
